What’s Pink?
Real wedding photojournalism at real prices. After ten years in
the wedding photography business, we couldn’t ignore the need
for great wedding coverage at a lower price. Pink
Photojournalism aims to fill that need in Toledo.

What’s your style?
We are wholehearted wedding photojournalists. Photojournalism is
about telling a story – your story – at your wedding. Our
emphasis is on capturing real moments as they really happen. We
spend twenty to thirty minutes at every wedding getting those
important family portraits, but the bulk of your wedding day is
spent getting married, instead of posing. We believe people look
their most beautiful when they’re not aware they’re being
photographed, so we shoot in an unobtrusive manner – no poking,
prodding, or staging, in black and white and color. In our
photographs, if you look closely, you can see people really
enjoying themselves, not faking it for the camera.

Do you shoot formals?
Absolutely. We just don’t spend hours doing it. Our family
portraits are posed and photographed efficiently, and in a
relaxed manner. We’re laid back, but we know what we’re doing.

Do you shoot in color and black and white?
Definitely. Black and white is a beautiful, classic way to tell
a story, but color is the only way to go when you’ve got a
bright bouquet of flowers

Why do all your brides look so beautiful?
Our theory is that people look their very best when they’re
happy, and when they’re not aware they’re being photographed. Go
look at your friend’s photos – the one who hated her
photographer – and see how uncomfortable and posed she looks in
her proofs. That’s the biggest difference you’ll see between
Pink and other wedding photographers.

How much does it cost?
We have only one package, with no need for additions or extra
charges. You get all-day coverage, unlimited film, unlimited
locations, and all your proofs in three ways – online, on a
proof CD, and real proofs for you to keep. Enlargements are
priced separately, but are very affordable.
Why only one package?
It saves us time and saves you money to keep it simple. We give
you everything you need and let you choose how many prints
and/or albums you want.

How much are enlargements?
The only thing you’ll buy from Pink after your wedding are
enlargements for frames or to
build your own album. Our prices
for custom, professional prints, are the lowest in town.

Why don’t you sell albums?
The way we save you money, while still providing top-notch
photography, is by making Pink self-serve. Like full-service
versus self-serve at the gas station, you get the same product,
but you get out of your car and operate the pump to save a
little money. With Pink, you get beautiful, documentary-style
photography, but you
build your own albums, with our help and
advice.

What does “build your own album” mean?
When you book Pink, you get access to our album information
packet, which gives you the benefit of our decade of experience
in wedding photography. We recommend album companies and
supplies that many professionals use to make wedding albums. You
purchase everything at cost and put together your own wedding
albums at truly reasonable prices.

What about the negatives?
Digital negatives are available for purchase on your second
anniversary. All of your proofs, however, are included in your
package.

Who will my photographer be?
We have three Pink photographers, and a sister company with four
photographers. Once you meet with us, we can recommend a
photographer for you based on your needs and style. All of us
are photojournalists, more interested in capturing the real
events of the day and not about posing and staging everything.
All of our work is well-represented in our portfolios.

Do you bring an assistant?
We usually don’t need one! We knock ourselves out covering your
wedding and shooting hundreds and hundreds of great images. If
you are planning a “double wedding” with more than one bride and
groom, or expecting more than 500 guests, we prefer to bring an
assistant.

How far will you travel?
We will only travel 30 miles from our studio in downtown Toledo.
Yes, we will go to Nazareth Hall, Bowling Green, and Maumee Bay
State Park. No, we are not currently accepting weddings in
Detroit, Ann Arbor, and Findlay. Our sister company,
Decisive
Moment Photography, goes on-location anywhere.

How long have you been in business?
Pink was born in 2005, but our sister company,
Decisive Moment
Photography, has been around for ten years, with offices in West
Michigan, Royal Oak, and Toledo. Pink shares an office and some
staffers with Decisive Moment.
